It has been an extremely busy offseason for the boys in Indianapolis. Many moves have been made to the roster, especially before the draft. Coach Jim O'Brien was also fired and replaced by GM/Owner Ryan Berger's high school friend, Tyron Harris. The bulk of the team has been revamped and become much younger.
Here is a look at the projected starting five:
Center: Randolph Morris, University of Kentucky Two Years Experience Acquired via Free Agency
Power Forward: Tyrus Thomas, Louisiana State University Two Years Experience Acquired in trade with Phoenix Suns
Small Forward: Luol Deng, Duke University Three Years Experience Acquired in trade with Phoenix Suns
Shooting Guard: Gerald Green, Gulf Shores Academy HS Three Years Experience Acquired in trade with Phoenix Suns
Point Guard: Dominic James, Marquette University No Experience Acquired via Amateur Draft, Pick #14
Berger was quoted as saying that his main goal for the team was to get into the playoffs and ultimately be a championship contender in the next few years. [/color]
