Hello everyone, thanks for coming today. I will start off this press conference by saying yes, we have made several key trades in the last few days. We pulled off a sign and trade for kyle korver earlier today for chris duhon. We really feel like this gives us 3 point shooting to help spread the floor. The other deal which has been in the works for sometime now brings in Jason Kidd, balkman, wilison chandler, josh childress, obryant and daquen cook. While we hate to lose ben wallace and redd, who contribute so much to our playoff run last year but we felt this trade helps us contend this year and sets us up for the future. Now what questions can I answer for you today?

Mr. FutureGM, Hi, Ronald McDonald here from the St. Petersgburg Telegram,
First question - Who do you see becoming the 3rd option for this team now that Redd is gone and what do you (or I should say what can you) expect from Patrick O'Bryant this season considering the kid has never logged more then 20 mpg.

It was very tough trading Micheal Redd who played a big part for this team last year. I beleived that part of Orlando problem last year was they had inconsistantly at the pg position last year so when we had the chance to bring in jason kidd, one of the best in the game, we felt like we could not pass on that chance.
Going forward, we feel like we are deep enough that on any given night we can have a 3rd scorer. We beleive cook, korver and childress are all offensive weapons that bring different components to the game that makes it hard to gameplan against. Plus when you have one of, if not the best floor general in the game in jason kidd, it makes it so much easier for everyone else. Offensively, I do not see any decline in our #'s from last year, but we have improved defensively and our team basketball IQ is a lot higher which creates more attempts for us.
With O'bryant.. when he got a chance to play last year, he played very well. He average 4 points and 4 boards and nearly a block a game in only 14 mins average per game. We feel that in 30 mins of play, he should be a defensive force that should have no problem average a double double for us. Pairing him with Brand also allows him to roam which plays to his strengths to be a weak side shotblocker bc we beleive Brand can guard any big man in this league.
